Should my kid start with an electric or acoustic guitar?Updated a year ago

Some people think that beginners should start with an acoustic guitar and then move to an electric guitar. Others argue that it’s easier to start with an electric guitar because the strings are closer to the fretboard, making them more comfortable to play. 

There’s no clear-cut answer here; our suggestion is to go with the one you feel they’ll like the most because that's the key to getting them playing and learning: that they like their guitar 😉
